Call for Abstracts

The ISWA-YPG has invited young professionals (< 35 years old) to submit their abstract for the 4th YPG-OC titled “THE PATH TOWARDS 2030. The Envisioned Decade of Changes Toward a Circular Economy Era”.

The call for abstract ended on July 19th.

All the abstracts submitted will be reviewed and assigned to an appropriate session. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified of the method of presentation as follows:

  • Oral Presentation: Up to 10 minutes – 8 slides maximum (aspect ratio 16:9)
  • Poster presentation: Up to 3 minutes – 3 slides maximum (aspect ratio 16:9). These presentations summarize the main findings of a research using brief written statements and graphic materials, such as graphs, charts, figures, and photographs.

Special Session: The VOICE of THOSE who do not have a VOICE

A special session will be dedicated to highlight priority issues in different regions around the world while stressing on the socio-economic factors towards more sustainable cities.

  • Do you have ideas for improving solid waste management, but you are not an expert in this field?
  • Would you like to share your ideas to improve the production and consumption patterns for more circular cities and societies, but you are not involved in political affairs?
  • Are you a young (< 35 years old) journalist, photographer, activist, sociologist, economist, psychologist, philosopher, policy consultant, entrepreneur who would like to share your story and experience in this field?

This year, the conference will give the chance to citizens and interdisciplinary experts involved in waste minimization to give their different views towards a circular economy. It also intends to give voice to different actors who implement circular economy approaches but who have no way for sharing their ideas.
