The career development and online discussions working group aim to empower young professionals in waste management by broadening their knowledge and career opportunities. The career development group enhances the prospects of YPG members by organizing quarterly online Career Talks, where speakers from diverse backgrounds in waste management share their career paths, offer advice, and answer questions, giving participants a comprehensive view of the various roles and pathways in the field; members are encouraged to join the LinkedIn Group to access industry job opportunities. Complementing this, the ODM working group hosts online events with international experts in solid waste management and planning, aiming to disseminate knowledge, build new capacities, and inspire a global audience of young professionals to embrace circular thinking and contribute to sustainable development.
